Always been a fan of Faryl. No, she doesn’t do the eye-popping, $$$$, arty shoes that we are often so enamored with here, but season after season she does deliver smart, wearable shoes, and she is among the very few who offers distinct fashion in the mid-heel range. All that being said, I am in LOVE with her Spring 2010 collection! I may not have seen everything this woman has ever made, but judging from the line sheets, this is my favorite collection thus far. She’s offering everything from flats to heels and the look of them strikes me as totally perfect for now–savvy, tough but still feminine, clean but still a little exotic, and with some of the best heel architecture I’ve seen in a while. Seriously, there’s like six pairs I want. Just cross your fingers and hope the stores who do the buying help put them into production!

Making her appearances on the Paris Fashion week circuit for what seems like the first time .Rihanna recently attended Dior, rocking studded Louboutin Pigalle 120, feather headwear and a very Galliano-esqe 50’s mini dress! A closer look on the next page via jj.

Some women’s ability to create a look and stick with it, while adapting the trends to their look, and not the other way around is often a thing of pure fashion genious. One perfect example has to be Dita Von Teese who has perfected a certain “Pin-Up” look that she has been able to adapt to whatever she wears. To make the rock& roll/goth black leather trend 50’s fab is not small feat. A closer look on the next page as well as another attendee of the Dior Show , one of my faves style-wise : Carine Roitfeld. The bright color “shy” in me of course wants this dress to be in black, but somehow this little pink dress with designer Gaurav Gupta’s artful use of zippers and draping was able to go from pretty and cute to edgy & hawt. Detailed images on the next page. Available at Bombay electric.

Simone wrote me last week to let me know about his mini-Karl Lagerfeld doll. Samia had posted up info about that a while back so I figured that rather than repost the image of the vinyl toy (you can see it after the jump), I thought this would be a good time to post up a picture I took of Simone at Magic. At Magic, Tokidoki was showcasing items from its new Marvel partnership, which he was super excited about it.
And I just want to add that Simone is one the nicest, most humble and talented people I’ve met in this often-not-very-pleasant industry. When I told him to email me about the Karl vinyl or ANY thing he does new, he was actually concerned about bugging me with too many emails. So never say anything mean about him ’cause you will be wrong!

Believe or not, ladies, I am just now getting around to posting images I took at Magic, which was, oh, only a million years ago (can I get a hello from my working-hard, single Mommies who this delay makes TOTAL sense to?). Anyway, it doesn’t matter cuz I took like a grand total of three pictures while I was there so no big loss. This one is from The Orginators tee shirt collection. It’s actually not called Jump Mama, but I can’t remember it’s real name and my memory is telling me that’s close enough. I love it, but I just want it to be femmed up a little more with maybe a lighter weight cotton and a collar that allows for the possibility of some cleavage exposure.
I took a couple more images of The Orginators tees, but they’re for the sports-loving Daddies out there….

Fresh M.O.B. fashion is about to hit stores and we here at H.S. like what we are seeing! The line is slick, sexy and just a tad more grown woman. Take a look on the next page and you’ll see the denim line is really hitting its stride, too. And then as a bonus it features our all time fave Married to the Mob modelismo, Sweet Sixteen!

I have been peeking through Milan fashion week trying to find the footwear that makes me weak and the knees and lo and behold extreme glamazon label Versace packed a punch with one style more high and out-there than the other. Who said you had to walk in them? Fierce footwear never claimed to be practical…On the next page a closer look at Versace Spring/Summer 2010 footwear on the next page.Via style.
