Sophie Hulme Autumn/Winter 2009

Since I laid eyes on  Sophie Hulme’s    A/W ‘08 collection featuring a  sleek coat with a silver chained whistle I have been hooked. Sophie Hulme’s  clothes remind me of  a glam version of an urban apocalyptic movie , like brave new world or   the matrix with a streak of happy disco  sequins. Edging on stern urban /military modernism the line is still feminine , relatable and   fluid enough to allow the woman’s  own sense of power shine through.
