The dress code was’ stylish attire’ with mask required and the NYC crowd  did not disappoint. With the grand and decadent background of the Angel Orensanz , YSL  launched their Parisienne scent last night.  The description of the scent being heavy in rose notes I expected it to be similar to this , nonetheless as  much as I was not floored.  Parisienne has a very feminine  and floral quality that , coupled with the exquisite packaging the still revered face of Kate Moss ,could make it  the next “it” scent. One of the coolest things about fashion to me has always been the plethora of choices , and the ability they give us to look our hottest best. As much as we often wish we had a little more here or a little less there  for the most part when it comes to showing a little  skin,  a backless top or in this case the Just Cavalli cut out back top is universally  appealing  and sophisticated. Using conceptual prints Samia Malik created The  Ihtgw  ( I have to go Work)Spring/Summer 2010  as a statement on”urban structures, everyday life, propaganda, music and use of cheap labour within the fashion industry. ” The  unisex streetwear line has won me over as it opens the door not just to  a dialogue about vital issues and  topics  but,   also  to the possibility and necessity for this generation  to create its own  new symbols  and prints that hopefully will in turn become universal. We had the opportunity to take a look at the Paul & Joe Sister  Spring/Summer 2010 Collection this week , and of course the shoes caught our eye, as they perfectly complemented the apparel.(images coming soon!) The line features well made silhouettes with subtle details like flower  or butterfly cutouts , sculpted heels and a very innovative ankle cowboy boot that I  find irresistible.  Images on the next page.

Here is a preview of newly launched Aryn K. label  founded by John Kim and designed by AprilApril Oh des Oh.Young and fun I found nothing to dislike about this collection,where one piece is more wearable and cool than the next .Enhanced by high end construction details like  exposed zippers, and chain adornments.
