If there was to ever be a Rodarte official fan club I would have to be in it! The Mulleavy sisters have proven with their spring/summer 2010 collection that they are so ahead of the game, they have probably left many still trying to figure it out. Consistenly showcasing a passion for construction and details they have tinted their collection with strong tribal references like Masai inspired beading, body paint contrasted with sexy tight pants and Kirkwood heels ! Thanks to Expose ny we had the opportunity to preview Sally Lapointe & Sarah Adelson’s S.LOVE collection. The concept of S.LOVE is to create artistically driven pieces where each piece is rendered unique by an un -replicated hand made process. For their 2009 Collection S.LOVE chose a dark color palette of black that gently fades into purple and white which we love ! With a sleek and edgy sensibility we can definitely see this young label in the assortment of HighSnobette favorites like Oak, Opening Ceremony, Shopbob, 80spurple and Forward. On the next page a closer look at our favorite pieces from S.LOVE.

When we were invited to visit the new Tommy Hilfiger store on fifth avenue , in NYC . I was very curious to see what this brand who made a killing in the nineties would translate their aesthetic in a 4 floor retail space of 22,000 square feet. The result is impressive. Having had a xtensive background in visual merchandising i found myself in awe of all the themes developed in each floor and of course it’s flawless execution by Trent Wisehart and his team. I have always thought that the Tommy Hilfiger label was always in delicate spot in the market as their theme of “Americana “can be identified with at least two other brands I can think of.
The Tommy Hilfiger global flagship is a step in a bold new direction, and we cannot wait to see how the brand will progress going forward, because we all know it takes more than a hot store to build a brand that will stand the test of time and fickle trends. A closer look at the store on the next page.

There ’s an ethereal quality to the Preen Spring/Summer 2010 Collection that is very appealing . The use of lace, that we’ve seen a pop of , here and there makes the pieces sexier and even lingerie like while never being frilly, something yours truly can cangladly appreciate. One the next page a closer look at my fave looks from Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thornton’s Preen Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.via style.

Say what you will, Beyonce showed the world yesterday that success , humility and compassion can go hand in hand, when she allowed Taylor swift to rightfully have her moment, previously stolen by Kanye West. img.Via wire. Loving that were somehow both in red. The color of passion and power.
