When I first glanced at this  images of Bora Asku  at London Fashion Week,  I almost protested at its resemblance to our beloved Mulleavy sisters but on a closer look I was able to see a clear distinction from this Central Saint Martins Alum  and a talent that is able to make even  a pouffy  lace skirt edgy.The collection also features a nice assortment of this new  hybrid of sheer and opaque tights  with sequins , that will probably become a new incarnation of leggings.  On the next page a few images from Bora Asku  Spring/Summer 2010, via wire.

If you mention a sport to me most likely , my mind would wander to the appropriate “look” for it,  somehow my imagination always  takes me to the clothes, not in “Oh my what will I wear?”  mode but really in images , like there is always a photohoot going on in my head… So,   when I saw these Onitsuka Tiger Monte  ’Pokhara’ Sneakers  named after a city of Nepal , I long to visit , I  could not help but think of rich layers , legwarmers, cashmere,  Pendleton x Opening Ceremony and the fact that  while these sneakers, might not  make it through a hardcore hike they do contribute to  perfecting the’ outdoorsy look’ , we will be  seeing a lot  more of this fall. A closer look  at the Onitsuka Tiger Monte  Pokhara sneakers on the next page. Finnish designer Daniel Palillo is fast becoming a fashion favorite with his sometimes very humourous  statement making collections . For Autumn /Winter 2009 Palillo is consistent with his use over sized silhouettes and playful use of color and deatils. When I arrived at the Hammerstein Ballroom, where G-Star staged  their spring/summer 2010 fashion show , I had the marvel at the grandiose aspect of the production. This was truly show. With a three lane runway and moving cylinders where the models silouettes would appear before their proceeded  unto the runway.The apparel in true G-Star fashion is edgy and urban with alot or white and  various shades of blue making this Spring/ Summer 2010 collection a lot brighter and somewhat optimistic for this label whose aesthetic tends to be darker and industrial. The coolest thing about Dennis Basso’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection aside from the fact that it was styled by my stylist icon , The one and only Patti Wilson( why wasn’t she the one with the reality show?) were the footwear styles created by Ruthie Davis towering at 5 inches with her signature bolted heels.
