Madrid based Diego David Domínguez González presented his Davidelfin Spring/Summer 2010 collection during new york fashion week. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s Polychromie   the collection exemplifies the perfection of minimalist androgyny,with the use of blues and greens , and impeccable draping he’s created looks that  are as modern as they are wearable.Reminds me of Annie Lennox somehow. Because of my love of menswear I find myself often coveting  the sleekness of design  and the quality of a lot of men’s  labels. Common projects has been one of those labels who has  perfected the sleek modern look  that the urban male has been adopting. To my joy the label has created a women’s collection titled Woman by Common Projects where their aesthetic was in no way watered  down  or made cute, which I can appreciate. Dutch fashion designer Mattijs Van Bergen has created ‘Blanco’ collection for autumn/winter 09/10. Mattijs literally drew patterns on his canvas in pen, to tell the collection’s story, which gradually developed into intricate pleating details, constantly playing with optical illusion.Via Designboom. I’ve played with the idea of desert boots many times , but never quite found the reason to go there.
