After shutting down her very loved label a few months ago, we learn  that the talented Veronique Branquinho is now the creative director for the house of Delvaux. One of the things that get me every time in fashion is craftmanship. Therefore, the Lingerie Couture  by Carine Gilson, an Antwerp Academy graduate is of course on my radar. Entirely handmade by seamstresses  in Brussels  the pieces  artfully  mix natural silks and chantilly lace in a symphony of feminity that is elegant, sexy without ever trying to be cute. Titled ‘Battle Royale’  take a look at the complete fashion show of Shilpa Chavan’ s Little Shilpa Accessory collection, for Lakmé Fashion Week’s Autumn/Winter 2009 season. The collection features highly creative head wear and accessories  inspired by army uniforms and war equipment. Looking at her show is like  being part of an edgy fashion editorial. The  kind of  high fashion fantasy , you’d expect at the couture shows. So inspiring!

Titled ‘Woven Armor’ here’s a look at Vilsbøl De Arce Autumn/Winter Collection, featuring  a great assortment  of ‘armor’ like draped  pieces, that have made the signature of Prisca Vilsbol and Pia de Arce. Some piece are more wearable than others but nonetheless we had to take the time to reflect and admire their interpretation  of apparel as a shield, as an armor.
