I fell for Clayton Evans’  Complexgeometries about 3 years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. Over the years the line has evolved , featuring more shapes and hues,  but stays true to the modern  aesthetic that allows the wearer to create their own look.

“…between good and evil..,”  the theme of  Complexgeometries  Autumn /Winter 2009 collection,  presents the conflict of good and evil, the moral dilemmas of right or wrong and the  grey areas in between with  apparel that has no clear front or back . To evoke the  intersections of  the lives of  David and Raquel Davidowicz, the couple behind the label UMA, artist Macaparana uses a series of intersecting circles and lines as graphics for their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. The volumes  and high-technology treatments, applied on fabrics such as linen and cotton twills, makes this collection stand out as a must see. Dana Arbib and Farah Malik’s ,  A Peace Treaty demonstrates an unwavering focus on quality and design, that  is always tinted with the   culture and craftmanship of the originating country of production. For Autumn/Winter 2009  A Peace Treaty ’s collection titled ‘Capra’ features  handwoven Himalayan cashmere stoles and shawls made of the shedding hairs of Capra Hircus mountain goats. The combination of a stilleto heel with a hefty rubber bottom makes for a fabulous combination of sexy and functional. One shoulder bags were all the rage in the late nineties, when YakPak was making a killing with their one shoulder style. I had almost dismissed the the awards show as a fashion yawn with its succession of little cocktail dresses,  with  beautiful young women wearing too much make-up. Looking cute for the most part but not showcasing any differentiating style choices. After  a few searches I found a few gems of style that I had to share like Kristen Stewart , in a Rock& Republic  spiky dress, Keke Palmer, in  a stunning jumpsuit, Miley rocking mucho accessories ( you know I agree) and Lil’ mama in feathers.
