Pierced ears have different implications depending on the culture . In some cultures pierced ears are de rigeur, and as many piercings as the ear can hold is fine  and in some others, its a privilege  of womanhood to be attained. I’m not even gonna get to the drama experienced  as a teen wanting  multiple piercings…

Interestingly enough there is no piercing needed in this lovely piece introducing the jewellery collaboration by Lovemade and Hancholo. A snake shape earpiece, originally crafted to be worn behind the ear. The piece creates a new category of jewelry, an innovative departure from a standard earring. Resting on the fold of the adorner’s ear, the cuff drapes multiple staggered length chains that cascades along the neckline. The chain tips are adorned with an arrangement of heart inspired designs and Lovemade and Han Cholo’s signature charms. I want!

Aschön the Berlin based duo comprising of Claus Arnold and Mila Micic create specialty one of a kind items using the finest materials and craftsmanship techniques . Their scarves are like pieces of wearable art. On the next page a closer look at the Aschön, Autumn/Winter 2009/10 collection.

One of my fave places to shop in Stockholm , is Monki. Slightly Junior the brand creates fun wearable pieces with interesting little details complemented by a very visually stimulating retail shopping experience. Now undies are part of their for Autumn/Winter ‘09 assortment!

American Retro, a company based in France, totally won me over with their summer 2009 Collection. The collection looks like what would be the perfect closet .With an assortment of great pieces that can take you from black tie , to  casual friday with everything in between, and a healthy dose of vintage and ethnic inspired looks. For the most part , the logo or brand- centric sneaker , is usually a bore. Not the case for the Burberry Sprayed Mega Check, which are very smart looking , but also bear a striking shape  and detail resemblance to a  Converse Chuck Taylor All star.
