Proenza Schouler are the next guest curators for the 9th Edition of A Magazine, the first Americans given this honor.In this ‘Made In The USA’ issue, Proenza Schouler will share with us their process, deeply rooted in the cross-polinization between creative fields, and invite friends, artists, journalists,photographers, stylists to showcase the independent creative spirit of the American landscape today and explore its link to the nation’s creative past. A Magazine will be released on the occasion of Pitti W for which Proenza Schouler is the special guest. June 16 th to June 19th in Florence.

One of  my first major independent  fashion crushes when I moved the New York in the late nineties was Zero+ Maria Cornejo. Her ability to create body flattering, apparel that always seems to skim the body without contriving it always impressed me. To celebrate her talent  and continual success, the  Brachfield gallery in Paris  is hosting  an art exhibit documenting Maria Cornejo’s design process and will also host a pop up store for her pre-fall 2009 collection . Details of the exhibit on the next page

When it comes to bikes , i’ll admit that going fast is really the least of my concerns. I’m totally smitten with  the look of the old school cruisers with basket in the front, and the  look to match. Definitely more Garance Doré for Celine than Lance Armstrong. The Paul Frank bikes , appear slightly junior but  really fun!  via Nylon.

Latest info via Racked: “Comme des Garçons BLACK, the latest pop-up concept  is due on 10th Avenue and 17th Street by the end of this month. It should arrive around the same time as a special BLACK corner in Barneys, which has an even more limited time frame of 2 weeks from its June 22 opening. Nice!!!

Guillaume Hinfray shoes  stand out because of their design but mostly by the  great attention to detail  they showcase. Even  the soles of the shoes are special . His trademark piercings also get me every time. A closer look at a few of my favorites on the next page.
