I read about Max Osterweis’, Suno a couple of months ago and was fascinated not just by his aesthetic but by the flawless execution of his look book.  Using his collections of antique fabric from Kenya , the  premier Suno collection was launched in s/s ‘09.  Conceptualized in New york and  produced in limited quantities in workshops in Kenya.  Take a closer look at The Suno Autumn/Winter 2009 collection on the next page.

There’s nothing like a good sturdy heel , on days where you have to trek around the city in style. Stilettos are really my fave but when a cab is nowhere to be found ,  there’s no subway in sight, and  back up footwear would mean too much to carry , The Acne Jeans   Above 1 Suede pumps available at Oak are perfect.

I’ve always had a fondness for Romeo Gigli, who no longer has the rights to his name ,but recently launched Io Ipse Idem; with his signature trademark of feminine silhouettesthat always look fresh, accessible and modern. The endless bows and flowered accoutrements, I  had to rock as a child kinda scarred me  . Most of the time  I am guilty  of wearing nyc’s official color,  black. Nonetheless from time to time when  I find prints and colors that do not resuscitate the visions of  elementary school embarrassments ,I have to pause in admiration. That is the case for  Jacqueline Floro’s  Bilingual clothing. Foro’s custom prints  manages to be sexy, tasteful and very grown up. There has always been a little quirky fun  side to he Kate Spade label that I’ve found  they seldomely exploited, as their brand is anything but junior. The Owl bag launching in August is if anything , is a  step in the right direction , to being a little hotter than they are. They surely got my attention.Via Nylon
