I have been seeing Genevieve Jones in magazines for quite some time now. I’m the gal who reads the small captions of who’s who in all the fashion publications. Nonetheless the news of Ms. Jones’ collections made its way through the media with very few images. I just took a look the newly launched Genevieve Jones accessories collection which comprises of jewelry with an ocean inspirations and very detailed rings that totally won me over. The bags, I had to take a minute to admire as they are simple yet very sleek and refined. A closer look at my favorite pieces on the next page.

Flirty and fun, swimwear company B. Swim creates suits for those with a sense of humour. I’m loving the bright colors and flashy patterns they have presented us with for this season. Loads of styles and cuts are available so finding one to fit your individual shape should be a pice of cake.

Rubies and diamonds decorate the lotus flower on this stunningly beautiful watch from Perrelet. More of a work of art than accessory this time piece captures true luxury and combines technology with real beauty. With all that bling bling it’s sure to be an investment piece but one you’ll wear for life.

Heidi Maris Jiline Sander, via Zimbio
When news spread that Fast Retailing ’s Uniqlo tapped jil Sander, the woman to create a collection launching this fall, the perception was that Uniqlo was collaborating with the Jil Sander label, designed by Raf Simons since 2005. The apparel will be labeled Heidi Maris Jiline Sander, since Jil Sander AG owns the rights to Ms. Sander’s label and trademark. What really matters in the end, is the actual designer and her undeniable talent and aesthetic. That is one collection I might have to wait on line for. ..via Telegraph.

Retalhos Cariocas is a clothing and accessories label created Silvinha Oliveira, Vivian Santos, Luciana Meireles, and Daniella Estevez , hailing from Barreira do Vasco, a favela in Rio’s Zona Norte. Made from donated scraps of fabric ( rethalhos). The label emulates the colorful style of the native inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro commonly called Cariocas. HighSnob Columnist Tim Broahagen got to speak to the designers about the label, their goals and much more. Read the extensive feature here. On the next page a few of my fave pieces from Retalhos Carioca. These girls rule!

Manish Arora fever has yet to take over stateside where we still see very little of him . However , the rest of the world clearly is not waiting to get a piece of the New Delhi based designers talent, humour and creativity. Manish Arora who collaborated with Reebok, Mac Cosmetics, and Swatch has now created a capsule collection of Swarovski crystal embellished tees to be sold at their Swarovski Crystallized stores in June . The tees represent Deity’s: Ganesh, Laksmi and Nandi(above) . Due to high demand there has been a waiting list(iwant.manish@crystallized.com) setup to purchase the tees while a collection of Iron-on crystals is also available.via Love Mag

The consensus seems to be from what we’ve heard around town that the collaboration between H&M and Matthew Williamson , has been the best by far. Eclipsing Sir Karl, Stella , Madonna and even Comme Des Garcons ? . The celebration of the launch took place this week in NY.On the Next page a few of the coolest style: Visionaire editor Cecilia Dean, looking very ‘rock chic’ in a good way and Erin Lucas( from The city, that I have yet to watch) showing how a feather skirt can actually work. Lots more including Adrien Brody(!) , Chanel Iman, MK Olsen and Patricia Field.via Wire.

When brands like Pucci, Balmain and Lanvin are turning out edgy rocker chick looks on their runways, I always wondered if the originators of these luxury icons would agree. Nina Ricci who brought us l’air du temps and a decidedly feminine aesthetic, launched a handbag available this fall, from what we can see these are a good classic reflection of what we remember Nina Ricci to be. A few more looks on the next page.
