Kartell x Normaluisa: Glue Cinderella

kar07 Kartell x Normaluisa: Glue Cinderella

Italian  furniture design house Kartell partnered with the Normaluisa fashion label to create a series of rubber ballerina flats called” Glue Cinderella”. Designed  with injection molding technology, I  like the ventilation holes on the side that  help moisture to evaporate . Looks like jellies are here to stay, as more brands seem to venture in this category. Theshoes will be available at Kartell flagship  locations and select shops world wide.

cappy richblack 34back Introducing: Omelle Spring/Summer09 Footwear

Omelle looks like one of my new favorites,  as the accessory label  created by Cherise Agnelle and Nicole Lafave, makes me weak  in the knees . sculptural and  wearable silhouettes  that illustrate not just great design but also wearability. For Spring/Summer 2009 Omelle presents heels , gladiator sandals and flats with their trademark flawless presentation. Even the packaging of the shoes is cool, making Omelle definitely HighSnobette Approved!

A closer look at  Omelle’s Spring /Summer 2009 Collection.

Waltham’s Lady Amelia Watch

highsnobette-ealtham lady amelia

Having been around since 1850, Waltham is one of America’s oldest watch companies. Hoping to revamp the company a bit, Waltham has been releasing some very currant and very hip new styles. 2009 brings us the Lady Amelia timepiece, a watch from their woman’s collection named for the infamous female pilot Amelia Earhart. A pale pink color and rubber band help lend to a more sporty look while the face and details such as pink cabochons create a femininity. Much like Amelia herself this timepiece is bit rebellious, both rugged and elegant at the same time.

A closer look at the Lady Amelia Watch by Waltham after the jump.

Kelis Looking Momilicious in a Catsuit!!

kelisnasfront Kelis Looking Momilicious in a Catsuit!!

HighSnobette are fans of Kelis back to our days when we were a mere HighSnobiety blogette, known back then as ChicksWithKicks. Since she got knocked up, Kelis has been very much out of the spotlight and while we understand, we very, very much miss seeing her and all her fashion genius choices. She looks great here and it’s great to see that she’s keeping up in a snakeskin catsuit no less (that’s a baby boy she’s carrying, btw), along with Nasir Jones, who is looking appropriately protective and hood-minded in his Adidas kicks and Yankee fitted. Excellent birthing vibes to you Mz. Jones!

Mariah Carey “My Love” Video

mariahclaw2 Mariah Carey My Love Video

I’m overdue late on Mariah’s latest video, “My Love,” produced or directed by her man, whatshisface, and featuring The Dream. A big part of what makes this video noteworthy is that it prominantly features Mariah wearing a Claw top (pictured above), which, yea, Blogue pointed out, oh like at least a week ago. Being as behind as I am (sorry people, I was practically dead for the past two days from some fuckery virus) I at least have the advantage of reading some of the response to the video, which has been controversial to say the least. A lot of people were put off by the styling, thinking that it just didn’t work for Mariah given her age. Meh, I think she looks adorable and I’ll take a chick in kicks at any stage of her game. One thing I did agree with was a comment on the Dream from some poster on another site, where she was like, “I can’t stand him, he’s got a baby-faced head on a grown man’s body!” Right?? How in a nutshell is that description? Anyway, I’m not gonna link to the actual video, but to the outtakes one, where you can watch The Dream and Mariah do some of the worst acting you’ve seen in your lifetime. I swear, if you’re feeling blue, watch! You will be rolling by the time it’s over. I promise.

A couple more video screen shots after the flip.
