The cute jacket and dress above are from NYMag, which got a sneak peak at TopShop’s lookbook for its first U.S. location, which is set to open in New York on April 2nd. There are a few more images over at NYMag, plus the U.S. website is now available for you to lay your pretty eyes on.

Style has not posted these yet but French Vogue has a first look at Balenciaga’s Autumn/Winter ‘09 collection.  I don’t know if Nicholas Ghesquiere was told to tone it down, but I expected him to transport me to some imaginary sexy sci-fi land.  The best looks  so far seem to be these cocktail-themed  suits with satin pants and jackets with a great draping detail.  No close-up of the shoes yet,  no boots ??  We’ll definitely feature more of this label we heart a lot.

Christian Louboutin used the very famous house of  Jean -Francois Lesage in India  to provide the embroidery and lace for the capsule collection he created, inspired by Marie Antoinette. The Collection of 36 collector item styles is of course already sold out…hurts!

Kanye finally found a companion capable of generating as much buzz as him. And it’s not just the short shorts and cropped top, check out her amazing heels.  I am looking forward to the upcoming fashion show this woman is sure to provide! Still, given Ye’s love of the limelight, I can’t help but wonder how long he’ll tolerate this interloper stealing all his thunder. It doesn’t help that they don’t seem to have much to talk about. In fact, I defy you to find a photo of them where they are even talking, much less caking it up and flirting.

This is the kind of piece that works really well  if you’re really tall and can never find sleeves long enough or are like me and dress like you are really tall  or if you sometimes just want to dissapear but can’t get away with throwing on your triple extra large hoodie. Barbara I Gongini is a Nordic designer based in Denmark. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity  to view her collection and I wanted every single item, as they all have a very experimental  edge, that is  both wearable and well crafted. The perfect mix.

Spain based Beach Couture’s Spring /Summer  2009 collection makes perfect sense as they have been able translate , sexy,  dark and  urban into vacation/beach friendly apparel.  Although their Spring /Summer 2008 was design-wise a lot sexier this is pretty good.  A closer look on the next page.

Glasgow based designer Rebecca Torres brings us Torres in Color, a line filled with stretchy, curve hugging pieces in fearlessly, bold colors.  The overall aesthetic is very sexy and in your face. The words “va va voom” come to mind. I’m a big fan of her use of color blocking and geometric shapes.
