Not kidding folks, if you check out the images from the shows, Amber and Kanye’s images are front-paged for every Paris fashion show they attended. There’s something super fun about these two together. And even if they don’t seem to conversate much, our Kanye sure looks cheerier since he’s been rubbing shoulders with her  and there aint nada wrong with that!

Hopefully Samia will update us later on the fashion Miss Amber is flossing. All I know is Kanye is still favoring NB kicks!

I’m having a hard time reconciling the concept  that,  the label who brought us the “L’air du Temps” signature scent, now designed by Olivier Theyskens is showing gravity defying futuristic  footwear. Does modern mean that  the romantic  heritage totally gets  tossed? The looks are quite stunning , but is it Nina Ricci ? Your thoughts please!

Jasper Goodall: left: "Medusa" and right: "Bad Bambi"

These arresting prints are part of  illustrator Jasper Goodall’s “Poster Girl” collection, which is currently on display at London’s Electric Blue Gallery. Look closely and you’ll see that the prints marry images with real-life females, who are posed behind the art but whose arms, legs, etc. are extensions of the art.  According to a review of the show on the gallery site, “the work explores the notion of fantasy versus reality, a subject which has fascinated Goodall for some time.” And here’s a fantastic quote from the artist:

“Sexual attraction, I believe is almost entirely down to our fantasies, after all when you first meet someone you don’t know them, but you make up and idea about them in your mind and it’s this fantasy that you are attracted to. Once you get to know them, all too often the fantasy doesn’t match with the reality, I think it’s why such a large proportion of relationships don’t really get off the ground!”

Amen to that, Jasper!

Spotted on Kanye’s blog, which, yeah, you could totally see how he would be into this work given the freaky-deaky sex stage he seems to be working through these days!

Yohji Yamamoto and Salvatore Ferragamo have teamed up to bring us a small line of shoes. The collection has yet to be unveiled but we hear the line will feature red sculpted shoes with a price range of approximately $450 to $1000. The collabo between the two fashion giants will drop early July and will be available at both Yohji Yamamoto and Salvatore Ferragamo flagship stores.

 I have been very un-inspired by sneakers lately. Aside from a few exceptions  it all looks the same. The Puma and Alexander Mcqueen women’s spring/summer 2009 collection renewed my faith in sneaker design  for women !
