Here’s a look at a brand new clothing line called God’s Prey and their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection titled “The Night Marchers”.

“God’s Prey was born from the outer-galactic design team of Meghan MacRae and Sean Reveron. Together we took a cosmic journey and created a brand that speaks to the celestial being in us all. We are focused on designing garments for both women and men that capture their inner energy, and on pushing the boundaries of originality by making art with clothing.”

For Autumn 2009, Bluenotch’s collection is dedicated “The sacred actions of our daily lives and salutes those who actually stand for their passion however small and large.”

The color palette is dark (which I love) with  new blends like a linen mixed denim (above) and  incredibly soft pieces like a cozy Rick Owens-ish sweater, classic plaid jackets with suede elbow patches. We also got to preview their secondary line  Democracy of Nevermind.

Rittenhouse S/S 2009 collection is now available for purchase at their web store. Rittenhouse is known for their classic pieces that have an eccentric twist. I’m in love with their take on black pants, one slouchy with over-sized pockets and the other slim and sleek.  The collection showed a lot of large pockets, draping, and layering.  The blazers and outerwear have a great “I borrowed this from my boyfriend”  feel, perfect for chilly spring evenings.

With a succession of pop Icons like Kermit,  Andy Warhol,  Michael Jackson and even Clint Eastwood  , Jean- charles de Castelbajac ,whose sense of humour  is so necessary in a fashion world that can often take itself way, too seriously, presented an Autumn/Winter 09 that totally brings out the kid inside !

The state of Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B . continually puzzles me as the label was one of the best celebrity lines I’ve seen in a while . Having shown in the past at fashion week, the website being currently shut down, what is the deal?

As footwear continues its reign as the hottest category in fashion,designers are letting their creative juices run free ! To the pleasure of many who appreciate the creativity but also to the concern of modeling agencies who ,  think it might be necessary to protect the models who have to sashay in the aforementioned creations.
