Dior Joaillerie has brought us a new collection by Victoire de Castellane titled Milly Carnivora. The collection on a whole is whimsical and was obviously inspired by nature. I love the energetic color palette and the intricacy and detail put into each piece is astounding. Dior Joaillerie has put up a video explaining the process of constructing the jewels that shouldn’t be missed.

The inevitable rain  season will be upon us very soon, and with that comes the dilemma  of footwear. Bright neon galoshes just sometimes don’t work especially  if you have to look pulled to gether. I like the Isle Jacobsen  boots as an option that does not sacrifice style over function.

Art collecting  is something I am really passionate about especially among my contemporaries. Why  should  we leave art buying to “estates” of so and so when we have so many artists among our peers ? I know times are hard but ,  while  we can still accumulate 3 to 4 digit bags and shoes , there’s room for some good contemporary artists pieces. Learn more and start investing in Art !

Amber and Kanye were spotted at some gala thing-y this past weekend for Metropolitan Opera. This is cute, it’s like their recreating a long past that never existed. I’m feeling love here, people. Some sort of interesting, must-be-destined connection between these two. And, yes, even if it only last three months, sometimes those types of relationships can be more significant than the ones that drag on five years too long!

Because she always smells so good, knowing Samia has raised my interest level in scents. There was an article in a recent issue of Allure, which broke down the top-ten most romantic perfumes. When I asked Samia for her recommendations, she pointed out Le Labo’s Rose 31 . Samia had a bottle of it still in her possession, though alas, not even a drop left so when we made our field trip to Manhattan last week, she made a point of bringing me by Le Labo’s NoLiTa perfume boutique. Dear readers, if you’re ever Downtown, you must visit. The store (see interior above) is set up to resemble an actual bar, beyind which a technician not only creates your fragrance, but types up a personalized label. And the vibe of the place is just as sensual as the perfume itself–dusky, a tiny bit decadent and very sexy. Most definitely to be experienced.
