Recently I dropped by to see the friendly folks at Exposure Showroom to preview some Spring 09 collections. The Dr. Marten’s Nellie Festive boot stood out for it’s ornate pattern in contrasting black & white (shown here in yellow & black)

The golashes are made of patent lamper and coated canvas, and like all docs they’ve got a sturdy look and design, but the toile pattern strikes a perfect balance between ladylike and indestructible. Available next spring in three color ways; white, red, and yellow- and definitely still resonating as I  trudge through the New York snow today.

Obesity & Speed just released their s/s 09 look book and all I can think about is how I want to be at a metal show drinking beers in this dress! Seriously this collection is to summer concerts as North Face is to camping.  But until it’s summer, I think I’ll curl up in their Misfits Sweater – complete with elbow patches!
