Etsy is like a never-ended treasure trove, the best part being the items handmade by its members. I’m pretty much 110 percent over the whole woodlandcreature-in-silhouette trend, but this swan-themed clutch by U.K.-based member RedRubyRose somehow rises above the feathered-fray. Rose  hand sews these framed clutches, using both vintage fabrics and custom-made fabric featuring her own designs and photographic images. Oh cheez, Mami, save a little creativity for the rest of us peons!

Converse is continuing its rock ‘n’ roll series, this time with The Who. These beautiful babies are available now at U.S. mall retailer, Journeys and Converse.  I love these Union Jacks mucho:

Here is a look  at one of our faves,A Peace Treaty.The label  created by Dana Arbib and Farah Malik as a symbol of friendship betwen a Libyan jew and a Pakistani muslim.For s/s 09 A Peace Treaty presents 3 collections:Kilim “Like the traditional carpets that inspired them,Kilim’s scarves ,each take up to eight hours to craft.Motifs are first carved on woodblocks and then used to layer dyes onto fabrics.Niani”Handspun and hand -loomed sheer khaadi silk scarves are also Dip dyed by hand allowing each piece takes on the entire colorwheel an reinterpret tone and blend.Gossypium”An ode to the boyfriend jean.This denim inspired line gets more comfortable with constant wear.

Keeping with it’s “Made in NYC” concept Operations s/s 09 was shot entirely in NY state.The women’s collection features their trademark  piping details and tailoring,with the introduction of  feminine silhouettes like strapless dresses and pleated skirts.Classics with a twist.A closer look  of my favorite looks on the next page.

One of the coolest accessories labels we discovered at capsule was Timo Weiland ’s line of truly unisex neck accessories.Timo uses silks and leathers to create pieces that provide a fun way to update  up a tee or a dress!

This Spring 2009 Nike introduces a new Dunk High – the Dunk Skinny Super High. The womens sneaker is a slimmer and higher version of the classic Dunk High. Nike basically updated the sneaker according to the latest trends in footwear. The first pack of the sneaker consists of three fading colorways.
