J.CREW WOMENS ONLY Now Open+ Gossip Girl

J.Crew is one of those labels that always puzzles,me…In a attempt to maybe separate themselves from big box retailing they have launched a men’s only shop featuring exclusive items and j.crew collections located in an old liquor shop in Tribeca.The women’s collection store will do the same ,but  is located on madison avenue on the upper eastside…

Telling me that at least they have been able to identify their guy as somehow a downtown  guy that would love the idea of shopping in an almost antique ,very intimate setting,and that the woman is a an upper east side fashionista, is into white walls modern art and enjoys shopping in a very crisp  upscale environment…the contrast of the two I find very interesting…kinda Serena Van der woodsen and Dan Humpfrey don’t you think? and yes I confess to seldomely watching gossip girl.
