Do you remember when we first introduced the ‘Fringe’ bag by Berlin-based label SLOE? Since the newcomer label for modern, timeless fashion and high-end accessories made their way through the thick fashion forest in Germany, designer Antonia Siegmund and Creative Director Mathias Last now present a more than lovely full collection for 2013/14.

Wide cuttings and straight shapes in pastel colors such as the striped Marlene pant contrast with dark colors and strong materials, as used for the androgyn bomber jackets with leather details. With the collection the brand manages to complete the timeless look of their much sought after leather bags and accessories and assures the perfect all over look.

Antonia Siegmund says:

“I think this contrast corredponds with a strong inner feeling of modern people in urban cities. We are a kind of new nomads, we are highly flexible but also settled and able to make our decisions with a free and unconventional mind. The contrast in materials and colors in SLOEs new collection is about this inner attitude, like a visible urban desire for facility and strengh at once”

Today, Converse launches the third collection of Comme des Garçons PLAY for Converse Pro Leather. Building on the notable success of the two previous collaborations, Converse reunites with fashion authority Comme des Garçons to create four new styles of the iconic Converse Pro Leather sneaker. All styles release globally today and are available from June 1st at Dover Stree Market London and from their online store.

Playing with notions of gender, Alice Knackfuss keeps reworking masculine items, incorporating them within her own vocabulary. For this season, the designer used patchwork techniques and worked them into Monnonites and American outback inspired pieces as seen for the baseball jacket . Innocent and eccentric at the same time each piece is given a contemporary twist.

As care free as summer dressing can be, it doesn’t mean there is no room for queen-bee type statements. Case in point, Italian designer Goffredo Fantini’s wedge silhouettes for Summer 2013, which definitely have the ability to create some drama and turn some heads.
