Got these Vans images a minute ago, but have beeing lazing out like a Lays Potato chip so whatever. Hopefully the New Year will wash away my crappy attitude where posting on HS is concerned. Anway.....these are cute, right? I know I'm a sucker for pink (scratch that, due to tech difficulties, I had to use the ones with purple laces but the pink are on the other side) and all, but it's the patent that makes these next level.

This shoe is part of the Patent Collection. There are many more on the other side, including the same shoes in white. I'm assuming the white ones are patent, too, but if so, the shine isn't showing up in the image.

Vans has done a boatload of collabos this year, but I think I like this one the best so far. Not just cuz the Bad Brains were an amazing band that never got its due propers, but also cuz they're a good fit with Vans. Makes sense somehow.

After seeing the DC's women's S/S09 shoes and clothing collection I was about read to head out when I was stopped in my tracks by the DC Kids collection. Can I just restate for about the fourth time how jealous I am of all of you who have kids that are still wee? 'Cause I am. Hate you all. Back in my son's baby days, the only options were Jordans and truth be told I was always too flat busted to ever cop him a pair.

^^I wanna cry. Seriously. Mommies whose kids are approaching grown, I know you know what I'm talking about.

The things sneaker companies are designing for the babies these days. Just crazy. Back when my kid was a wee one the ONLY cool baby sneakers were Jordans. Now Boo-Boo can have a collection as good as his Mom or Dad! These Puma First Round Deer hightops are available now on Overkill and they are off they are, in a nutshell, off the hinges.

 It's feeling like fall in NYC, isn't it?? I've been feeling the chill in the air and thinking, "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! Not yet!! I'm not ready for summer to be over!" But even if I'm not, Vans is and they've got you covered for Haloween if you're one of those types that likes to coordinate:

A Vans collabo with New York City illustrator Karen Richter strikes me as a match made in heaven. There's just something about her cute designs that matches up well with the sensibilities of Vans' feminine side.

All this chilly/rainy weather has me feeling the blues so I like the top pair better.
