The super adult,worshiper of helmut lang,CDG,opening ceremony , the color black ,anything edgy and avant-garde wants to be repulsed by the simplicity and tackiness of red cherries on blue NIKE Dunks and would classify them as juvenile.But the reality of my love for sneakers brings me back.It's ok ,a little fun and tacky never killed anyone life is too short...fun is good!
Plus,for some folks slapping a marc jacobs or Jeremy scott logo on them would have them sell out in seconds...

Thanks to new blogging buddy TooManyTights, I've learned that THE hot leggings these days in Australia (and probably other places, too!) are Sass & Bide's rat leggings. They look sort of like regular old leggings on first examine, but there's this whole rouching thing going on with the inseam, which is pretty hot.

One of my biggest peeves has been attending events where the women are decked out in all their splendor and most of the guys end up looking like they were just kickin' in with the boys or heading to the bodega...
This does not mean that should leave your kicks and only do Ferragamo wingtips but,there is something about a man that can rock a pair of kicks and not make me look ridiculous walking next to him in my stilettoes. I saw this guy at the reebok party and I had to take a picture to illustrate my point.Look at him: tie,sweater,trench coat.classic, but still a little street and the lady friend can still look relevant next to him(altough she totally could have worn kicks too!)

There was a time where my middle name was camouflage, seriously I could not have enough of the pattern ,all I wore were cargo pants and camo something. I even received gifts in camo gift wrapping. Needless to say that Hardy Blechman's Maharishi is my all time hands down I will fork over the extensive moula for embroidered cargos if I could only find the thangs in NYC!
