The things sneaker companies are designing for the babies these days. Just crazy. Back when my kid was a wee one the ONLY cool baby sneakers were Jordans. Now Boo-Boo can have a collection as good as his Mom or Dad! These Puma First Round Deer hightops are available now on Overkill and they are off they are, in a nutshell, off the hinges.

From Japanese streetwear mag Unbar, we have word X-Girl recently launched an eyewear collection. Cute stuff and the model's manicure is poppin'!

Not sure what the status of X-Girl is in the United States. All you OGs know that Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth originally launched this line in the '90s, but sold it at some point to a Japanese company. Does it still have a store on Lafayette in Manhattan?

The Fila X Premium Goods event went down last night at the Manhattan Fila store. Ever since Magic, I've developed a secret crush on Fila, and after last night, I'm no less in love. I just want Fila to do more of the same slick looks for women that it's already doing for men. Here's the Fila/Premium Goods collabo sneaker (sorry Ladies, only in men's sizes) being held by the ever-chilled Clarence, owner of BK-based Premium Goods.

^^When I chatted with Clarence, we heard that he has emminent plans (as in next week!) in the works to open an all-women's boutique called Wndrlnd, next door to Premium Goods!! I have to chat with him to get details on an exact opening date as well as the brands he's gonna stock, but in the meantime....wheeeeeeee!

It's been a while since I've seen an item to give HighSnobettiest status to, but the minute I saw these kicks by the newly-launched Booji House, it was game.set.match! Look at the dollar-dollar-bill holder....OMG!! So much for it being a slow news day!!

It's adorable how Chris seems to have brought out a more kiddish side of Rihanna and in these images she looks relaxed and cute in her Nike sweats and sneakers, but  RihRih is no newbie to the world of sneakers (which is part of why we lover her style, natch!). Long before she hooked up with Chris (publically anyway) we had images of her sporting a pair of dark denim straight legs with a pair of Nike Vandals.

^^That gold chain she's wearing is probably solid 14K, but it looks a lot like one American Apparel is selling on its site. (You'll have to click to the right to see the kicks she's wearing.)

We posted about Heyday for the first time last week. Natch, we visited with the brand while we were at the show. The brand still doesn't have a line specifically sized for women, though designer Darin Hager is totally in tune with the love women have for kicks, and includes chicks with kicks among his promotional images. He was also quick to serve up three Spring '09 styles he thought women would appreciate:

After the flip, Darin's assistant, Monica, models those creamy, yellow hightops we showed you last week. Monica strikes a fierce pose and a happy one and you, the reader, get to decide what her stronger look is.

A minute back I mentioned that Creative Rec had some adorable kid's shoes, which match up with the adults. While at Project, I was able to snap some of those cute combos:

Ever since the U.S.-based Fila got taken over by the Korea-based Fila a year or so back, it's been on an upward swing. Shoe design got an upgrade and it signed perfect-fit rap artist, Nasir Jones. The company is just now delving into women's kicks (cute, albeit a tad heavy on the Freestyle inspiration), but it was this purple track jacket that stole my heart. Maybe it was the over-airconditioned halls of Project, but there's just something so snuggly about it!

Since I established in my last post that I'm all up Gucci's nana, how about these purple sneakers, a web site exclusive, featuring yes, my newest obsession, the red and green stripe. Again, like the boots, pretty much perfect.

This is called the Barcelona. Make sure you lisp when you say that!
