For f/w 08 MaMa takes us from the fourties to the  era of" lo riders" and the west coast.I know we don't feature cars on Highsnobette,but I see these girls riding a Chevelle(my fave) and listening, to Snoop's laid back( can you tell I watch too many movies?)

Anyway,Gabriella Davi-Khorasanee  and her team have done it again with a collection whose inspiration is clear ,fun,classy and definitely MaMa.

Dubai’s fashion week this past season proved to be an amazing opportunity for young Middle Eastern designers to showcase their latest designs in a fast-growing market place. I totally love the East meets West fusion that Dubai’s fashion week provides,  a breath of fresh providing a unique aesthetic  compared to some of the larger Fashion Weeks such as Milan or NYC.  

Designers like Jenny Rose showcased colorful and culturally sensitive collections of kaftans and swimwear.

Zille Homma Hamid is an artist and fashion fashion designer with roots in Pakistan.Her  heritage is reflected in her collections with a lot of subtelty.Caftan -like shapes with a mix of muted colors reminiscent of the desert and sometimes bright.I find the silk pants above to be simply amazing!
