Speaking of music there was this song that really offended me when I first heard it: "You remind me of my jeep" I was like huh? Corto Moltedo designed by Gabriel CortoMoltedois definitely a brand to watch.For this  fall  the bags are still  fun and classic with the star of the collection being for me  the "Priscilla" "dark Side of the Moon Bag"( above) it's big enough for magazines and can also be worn over your shoulders.The color stripes too give it a little sporty/vintage feel.Check on the next page for more of my favorites!

The Younity's opening of the Heart & Soul exhibit at Alphabeta was this past Friday.As a Collaboration between 60 women artists, spearheaded by  Toofly and Alice Mizrachi the event was a success , with some of our favorite people showing up to show support .great music,drinks ,food &  Art  no one wanted to leave...

The Heart & Soul Book sold like hot cakes, at 20 bucks a pop you just can't pass up on the opportunity to have a  postcard/book  of all the pieces in the show. Check on the next page for our Extensive Photos!

Miroike was launched  in Berlin by Ramiro Calderon Alvarado and Ulrike Siedel in 2004. Both studied under Vivienne Westwood and graduated from the Berlin school of the Arts. The Miroike  line  has been recently seen at select retailers in the US! notablyWelcome Hunters in LA and King of Green Street in NYC. Miroike as a  label creates small collections that challenge the traditinal conventions of shapes and contrast aptly titled by Siedel and Calderon as " Couture-à-Porter ".

For fall 2008 the capsule collection features great contrats details , innovative shapes and the most amazing boots I have seen in a while. Produced and created in Berlin Miroike has a commitment to quality and an aesthetic that has made them one of the most promising design talents in Berlin,a place whose individual fashion and edginess is well known to fashion insiders. Net-a-Porter is on of those online retailers that does it right everytime!Not only is their assortment bananas but the interface of the site is so good for shopping! you would think they paid me to say this...nope.Live models  would be cool but at the rate they feature novelties it might get too crazy.

Roland Mouret  created an assortement of 5 dresses for  net -a-porter.If that's not having juice I dunno what is! The dresse  can seem conservative but the body contouring is where the heat is, It's kind of Dita Von teese , 50's pinup,know what I'm Saying.You can see more here

Carlos Diez Diez, is known to many fashion insiders as the "Bad Boy" of spanish fashion. He crosses lines that very few dare to.

For Spring 09 his line did not dissapoint with  easy pices accessorized with big earrings , tigh-high lace-ups and Converse kicks( awesome!)Mr. Diez Diez made me one happy camper!

I have always believed in the universal appeal of "la Mode" theres can be visible differences in craftmanship but for the most part the hegh end world and the streets have always shared inspiration...Case in point,"tartan" a reminder of the days where I was sorting a uniform, has pooped up on the D&G fall 08 Runway ,above (Imgs Style)

and most recently for the ladies with a Nike"Tartan" Blazer...No need to pick there's nough space in the worls for both...
