Designed by Hushi  Mortezaie ,Trash and Luxury for s/s 09 takes  us on a journey where disco was the dance and studio 54 was the place to be.Fashion was bold,daring and all about making a statement.I always wish I was around then..Here's what Mortezaie he had to say about his inspiration:

“The opulent age of disco, mixed with nouveau African prints, and a tinge of cultures; showing that you can be glamorous, break rules and above all celebrate diversity.”

Lanie Alabanza-Barcena's Hellz Bellz Holiday 08  Collection titled "Born Bad" has just launched.Here's what she had to say about her inspiration:

"Inspired by the infamous Vaudeville actress, and sexual liberator, Mae West, our Holiday collection represents for the "Born Bad" femme fatale. With West's racy quotes which sprang, tough-dame style from the side of her mouth, she's been firmly stamped as the personification of Hellz through her story of survival, persistence, independence and unshakable self-esteem. In her life which ended in 1980, at the age of 87, she became both an icon and pioneer for both men and women everywhere."

We featured Hartmann Nordenholz, earlier this year as a fashion label we love alot. Designed by Agnes Schorer and Filip Fiska their s/s 09 continues their devotion to intricate details and draping with a color palette that goes from sandy pastels to bright blues, pinks and reds.A few of my fave pieces from Hartman Nordenholz s/s 09 on the next page!

Yesterday,while hanging out in soho, Liz and I both marveled at the beauty of the Rodarte Knit Fishnets.The Mulleavy sisters are so creatively ahead of the pack it's refreshing! nonetheless,the look and craftmanship  comes with a cost But, Tiffany from Six six sick girls was able to make her own version !

All I have to say is awesome!

Iconic designer Louis Vuitton has just released a sneak peak at their upcoming Spring advertising campaign with our beloved Material Girl. Sporting a  much talked about furry mango cocktail dress; Madge is totally rocking the newest Louis straight off the S/S 09 Runway.

The spread itself is a collaboration of iconic photographic duo Mert and Marcus with Steven Meisel .This café photo shoot was directed by none other than the beloved Marc Jacobs.

At first glance I was not totally impressed with The Adidas x Jeremy Scott "Artillery Hi "but a closer look reveals cool details like the printed snakeskin  and the adidas torsion technology.I just wish the whole sole was black tough...

One of the things that get me every time in fashion is craftmanship.Therefore,the Lingerie Couture  by Carine Gilson, an Antwerp Academy graduate is of course on my radar.Entirely handmade by seamstresses  in Brussels  the pieces  artfully  mix natural silks and chantilly lace in a symphony of feminity that is elegant,sexy without ever trying to be cute.J'aime beaucoup!
