According to the Center for disease control CDC about 70% of moms in the US breast-fed their babies.Which means that the sight of a bare breast is nothing uncommon  to most out there...IT Baffles me that this Calvin Klein Ad is banned on the premise of a flash of Ms.Mendes' nipple!!!!..seriously this Hypocrasy  drives me CRAZY!!!!

I forget which magazine I read.... that had a feature on the overkill trend of Leggings..and that's pretty much all it is,like everything in mainstream fashion it will pass,once the magazines stop featuring them and the celebs are not photographed wearing them it will be over...

The thing is tough that any stylish HighSnobette knows that accessories are vital to  add your "flava" to a look and to me trendy or not, there are pieces that are just smart to have, like the lace Stirrups.. above by Kovat&t available at Intermix.My pal Amy cringed at the idea of these resurfacing...here they are!

With the right outfit these could rock! and  that, has been the "issue" with leggings is that they can be cool with and outfit but not as" the outfit."

Butter by Nadia is one of those labels that never dissapoints expanding on the concept of "convertible apparel" a very "green" way to dress  at least when it comes to consuming and discarding.  If you thing about it..One piece that can be worn several ways can translate to having less apparel and discarding less...makes sense right..?

When I heard the news of Justin Timberlake being the new face of Givenchy's new fragrance"Play" I was curious to see how they would  feature him..I was expecting something alot sexier...To shed the boy band look you have to push the envelope just a tad....granted even if the scent had to do with music I can think of someone who is making a killing when it come to crooner-style  R&B and whose a little more grown... and a former model who can do no wrong in my book...their  pictures after the jump...

Fashion like Art, is a platform of expression seldomley exploited by designers, very rarely do they use their creative platforms to not just please buyers  and  say something about Social Issues ,present their line on average non-model folk or just have a wide spectrum of ethnicities on the runway..

Miguel Androver is one of those who won my appreciation when I attended his show in 2004 ,if my memory is the correct even the program was designed as a Travel boarding pass..the show (snapshot above)was a visual treat with poignant social undertones....According to WWD he's back !

and that makes me one happy camper!

When it  comes to sneakers I understand that given your occupation or lifestyle you might not be able to leave the house rocking a pair Bright hi tops,There are alot of major corporations with very tight dresscodes.... 

Nevertheless when companies like Hogan exist there is nor reason why you should be wearing your Donna Karan Suit with your running sneakers!You just end up looking very random...or   that you should run out the house with a fur coat and a pair of kicks on that are so old the brand is not visible..no excuses...get it together..if you're upscale enough to rock fur in this day and age then I'm sure you can gather the "moula" for decent kick around footwear....right?

So Finally after many calls and gymnastics I fanally got my hands on the famed  Vogue Italia July 2008 "A Black Issue"

For as much as it has been a big deal in some sectors like the fashion scene in New York where the issue was Sold out until it was recently re-printed ,the rest of the world might not have neceassarily noticed...

having grown up with an open mind when it comes to color ,beauty to me came from places all over the world,there was never a"color of boy"I could not date he just  had to not be pierced and tattoed( hey they had to forbid something!)....Nevertheless,The photography and editorials were great! 

But then again,for a much as I love the idea..I hope that women of any race will not wait for a mainstream publication to feature them to truly feel beautiful and accepted by society...Or is it too late for that?

On a recent trip to Journeys I came across the Cobain edition Converse line,I loved the idea and wish it happened when Kurt was alive ...However this particular style, made to look worn...kind of puzzled me..

 I love everything grunge, but Is not the idea to actually wear your kicks so they  Get Beat Up?  Aside from Kurt's Signature... there could have been so many other design options to Commemorate the Cutie Of Grunge...The low top with doodles is cool  (on the next page)..But the artificial Worn Look I can't...
