Exciting news from Wwd:

Christian Louboutin is designing pumps in iconic Barbie Pantone 219 Pink, which will make their debut at the special runway show that Mattel Inc. is staging during New York fashion week next February.

Fifty as-yet-undisclosed designers will produce Barbie-inspired outfits for the runway, and each of the 50 models will be wearing the pink Louboutins at the show.

"I guess I always had a little 'girlie side' who liked Barbie," Louboutin said. "Barbie needs to wear great shoes because every girl needs to wear great shoes."

This year I feel like the holidays just happened,usually the excitement of the Holidays is in full force in NYC around this time.But, with the cancellation of alot of parties and celebrations,the mood is not exactly cheery all over the place.The bright side is that 2008 will be over soon and 2009 by it's last number is indeed a new Year.

Nine being " Neuf "in french,it translates to NEW (as my mom says).To celebate instead of the hast and  or glasses and whistles I might need to do something a little bolder like rock lashes by Fred Butler (above)

One of my favorite fashion sites is Garance Doré,this fashion photographer/illustrator shares our love of fashion and apparently the color electric blue as seen above in France .

I don't know if fashion inspires the color or if the color inspires the look but electric blue has just gotten me lately...

I also found shantelle in downtown brooklyn rocking the bright hue. It was one of those cloudy dark days,so of course she stood out to us, showing that everyone does fashion their way.And in the end that is really the point.To go outside the box and take risks.Check her out on the next page!

For s/s 09  Givenchy 's  color palette for footwear is mostly dark,aside from one standout hot pink fabulosity on the next page.There is just such an edge edge about these zebra -print sandals with the metal tip,that say "don't mess with me" , that we could not resist...

We had a glimpse of the collaboration between the  Jil Sander label,designed by Raf Simons  and Damiani,on their s/s 09 fashion show.

The pieces are simple and edgy at the same time .They make you look like you have an edgy cartilage piercing,which creates a very modern and sexy contrast with the apparel.Wearing one is really all you need...
