This post in the honor of Sai!! Altough I vent about seeing leggings too much there is a super hero quality to these Manish Arora that I just could not resist. Oak boutique is I think the closet I want.I don't think I have seen this diversity of designers in nyc in a while...

Zille Homma Hamid is an artist and fashion fashion designer with roots in Pakistan.Her  heritage is reflected in her collections with a lot of subtelty.Caftan -like shapes with a mix of muted colors reminiscent of the desert and sometimes bright.I find the silk pants above to be simply amazing!

Yunju Lee takes everyday  accidents and  created jewelry to reflect them from lipstick stains, to ketchup or ink:

"The worthless and unpleasant stain which we find in our daily lives.Can be transformed nto the most valuable and fascinating jewelry"

Most high end apparel in my mind,is really not aspirational .Any hard working Highsnobette can pretty much afford good fashion.If you want it bad enough you probably get get it.However the concept of LoungeLover designed by Sylvie Gabriel , although so comfy and sexy is somewhat aspirational to the city gal who is running around multi- tasking like most of us do...when do we ever lounge?

I love the concept , the clothes,the fabrics .Aside from their intent alot of the pieces can make it out the house.With gold strappy stilletoes and a chunky necklace  this set can make a fabulous evening ensemble.I'm all about repurposing clothes.

Maybe that should be a new Year's resolution, to actually make time to lounge...

Dolce Vita's Viola remind me of Vivienne westwood,love the color contrast the hidden platform and of course the ultra high heel.

Fila is one of those labels that Lois and I  have alot of love for.They have recently introduced the "Melrose" a womens hi-top. I like the sleekness of it as well as the slant in the back making hi-tops so much more comfortable.More no the Next page!

If you were one of the lucky folks to make it Chanel's mobile art exhibit or to have purchased the Hadid for Melissa footwear,you have been exposed to the design mastery of dame Zaha Hadid.I don't know about you but I am always fascinated by the great women of design in fields where men usually dominate like architecture .She was interviewed by designboom last year,you get a glimpse into who this design power house is,her like dislikes ect..

This is one of the coolest pieces I have seen from Dimepice's f/w 08 collection.The women focused streetwear line based in the Los Angeles,created by Ashley Dimes and Laura Marie is continuing their foray into fashion with a collection that is fun and still edgy.I love the untraditional take on the sweatshirt,the generous hood and the slim sleeves for a shape that makes this piece an easy transition from casual day to a night out.Available at Cultist

I have been following Ralph Lauren's RUGBY for a while now, The stores' retail location in NYC is  a little jewel of  of great styling with  rugby sport heritage mixed with an urban feel.

The Plaid Buffalo Cardigan stood out to me as a great piece that is timeless ,classic and looks sooo cozy...

Teaming up with world renowned Indian designer Manish Arora, MAC unveiled their latest collaboration this past October available exclusively at Harrods London and online and maccosmetic.co.uk

Using yellow as his signature color, Manish Arora has designed a series of eye shadows, lipsticks and blush that uses the vibrant colors that he is famous for using in his own collections. What really stands out for me in this collection, not only the bright colors he uses but also the Indian inspired packaging. Last tuesday Reebok hosted  a stylist event at STK in Los Angeles.The event gave the stylemakers and celebs of the west coast an opportunity to preview their spring collection while networking and feasting on a customized menu.

Yours truly had the opportunity to style the event, and present to the trendsetters and celebs  the fashion quotient the Reebok brand has been able to maintain and striving to continually expand.

I have a couple of pieces from Romeo Gigli  from the 90's that I still wear today.He has a an aesthetic that is timeless and strives to not focus on a "total look" to use his own words:

If there was to be a holy grail of Fine Lingerie La Perla would definitely make the list. The Indomitable*Brief above to me stood out as a remedy to some of you out there who complain of their midsection.And they are incredibly classy with an unexpected detail in the back.

When fashion shifted to  low rise that was a downfall of good posture and the rise of the muffin top...Think about it there was a reason  Marylin Monroe for example was always cinched in at the waist...

*Incapable of being subdued or overcome, I had to lookup the meaning, I figured for $ 300 panties the title does matter you know.

RihRih and Madonna were recently snapped together as part of some Gucci promotional blitz that they're both participating in. Check out Mo's sideway glance at RihRih and her gnarly hand gripped around her hip. Oh to be a fly on the brain of either one of them! On the one hand, you have Madonna whose diva status is set in stone but whose star is clearly fading, while on the other you have a young woman on the way up who has stated in interviews how much she admires and hopes to have a career similar to the Material Girl. An all around deelish moment captured in time!

Samia's gonna post a bunch of images from a Reebok event that took place yesterday or something in California. She's kinda shy and totally modest so what she probably won't do is tell you that she  styled it and she's even featured in the WireImages!! She's not into having her picture shown all over the place so I'm not gonna put it up here, but here's one gratuitous shot from the event:

My one ish is that they spelled her name wrong in the captions! I mean yeah she has a ......,  but her last name isn't DERIERRE, it's Grand-Pierre!

Since the whole ponzi scheme that I always said Wall Street was finally blew up in everyone's faces, retailers are freaked out beyond belief and only carrying the most basic of shit. I love it when a brand or designer throws a party and people pay tribute to them by really rocking the gear. Sometimes it is hard if the venue is high end and the label  is really sporty but it can be done.At the Reebok Flash Pop-up Store opening party Hillary was a perfect example of truly rocking it!
